Abstract

This research paper explores the potential of blockchain technology in revolutionizing healthcare data management systems. With the increasing digitization of patient records and the growing concern over data security and interoperability, there is a pressing need for innovative solutions to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of healthcare information. Blockchain, known for its decentralized and immutable nature, offers a promising framework for securely storing and sharing medical data among healthcare providers, patients, and other stakeholders. This paper reviews the current challenges in healthcare data management, including data breaches, lack of interoperability, and inefficient data sharing practices. It discusses how blockchain technology addresses these challenges by providing a transparent, tamper-resistant, and auditable ledger for recording and sharing medical records, treatment histories, and other sensitive information. Furthermore, the paper examines real-world applications and case studies of blockchain implementation in healthcare, highlighting the benefits, limitations, and future directions of this transformative technology. Overall, this research aims to contribute to the ongoing discourse on leveraging blockchain to enhance security, efficiency, and trust in healthcare data management systems.
